This was absolutely amazing and inspiring to learn Bhutan, a small, undeveloped country with less than $2Billion GDP, is providing free healthcare and education and has committed to being carbon neutral forever. They even bypassed their goal and are now carbon negative, sequestering three times their output. 75% of their land is covered in forests, and have promised to keep a minimum of 60% as greenspace for national parks or wildlife preserves. Bhutan has increased their greenspace to connect all areas so there is no fragmenting and wildlife can roam throughout all areas of the country. Do you think other countries will embrace Bhutan’s holistic approach before it is too late?
